Nanosoft Polymers offers thiolated hyaluronic acid or hyaluronate amine (Hyaluronate Thiol, HA-thiol).
Hyaluronic acid is functionalized with thiol ( degree of substitution: 5 % molar ratio) through amide bond. Purity: >95% powder. HA-SH derivatives with lower or higher thiol substitution ratio may be offered through custom synthesis service. HA-SH can be further derivatized for drug delivery or biomedical uses.
Hyaluronic acid is the most abundant glycosaminoglycan in the body being an important component of several tissues throughout the body. While it is abundant in extracellular matrices, hyaluronan also contributes to tissue hydrodynamics, movement and proliferation of cells, and participates in a number of cell surface receptor interactions.
