Poly(ε-caprolactone)-block-poly(ethylene glycol)-vinylsulfone (PCL-PEG-VS) is a functional amphiphilic block copolymer with vinylsulfone group at the end of PEG. Vinylsulfone groups are useful for coupling via Micheal addition reactions with thiol. PCL-PEG-VSis used to prepare micelles or nanoparticles with alkyne on the micelle surface for bioconjugation. Hydrophobic drugs is encapsulated in the PCL core for targeted drug delivery.
