PLGA-PEG-N3

Price range: $300.00 through $1,200.00

PLGA-PEG-N₃ (Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)-Polyethylene Glycol-Azide) is a biodegradable amphiphilic block copolymer consisting of PLGA and PEG segments terminated with an azide (N₃) group. The hydrophobic PLGA segment enables drug encapsulation, while the hydrophilic PEG segment improves aqueous solubility, biocompatibility, and circulation time. The terminal azide group enables efficient click chemistry conjugation, making PLGA-PEG-N₃ ideal for targeted drug delivery, nanoparticle functionalization, and nanomedicine research.

Description

General Description

PLGA-PEG-N₃ is a functional biodegradable block copolymer that combines the controlled degradation properties of poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) with the hydrophilicity and stealth characteristics of polyethylene glycol (PEG). The amphiphilic structure readily self-assembles into polymeric micelles and nanoparticles in aqueous environments, making it a widely used material for drug delivery applications.

The terminal azide group enables efficient copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) and strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions for conjugation with peptides, proteins, antibodies, fluorophores, nucleic acids, targeting ligands, and other biomolecules. PLGA-PEG-N₃ is commonly used in targeted nanomedicine, polymer therapeutics, imaging probes, and advanced biomaterials research.
