Azide-dPEG23-Amine (N₃-dPEG23-NH₂)

Price range: $260.00 through $860.00

Azide-dPEG23-Amine (N₃-dPEG23-NH₂) is a heterobifunctional discrete PEG linker containing a terminal azide (N₃) and a primary amine (NH₂) separated by a defined PEG23 spacer. The azide enables CuAAC and copper-free SPAAC click chemistry, while the primary amine reacts with NHS esters, activated carboxylic acids, aldehydes, and other amine-reactive molecules. The relatively long PEG23 spacer provides increased hydrophilicity and spatial separation for bioconjugation, protein modification, drug conjugation, and linker synthesis.

Description

General Description

Azide-dPEG23-Amine (N₃-dPEG23-NH₂) is a heterobifunctional discrete polyethylene glycol linker containing an azide (N₃) at one end and a primary amine (NH₂) at the other, separated by a defined PEG23 spacer.

Unlike conventional polydisperse PEG polymers, dPEG linkers have a defined chain length and molecular structure. The relatively long PEG23 spacer provides substantial hydrophilic and flexible separation between the two reactive termini, which can be advantageous when conjugating large biomolecules, nanoparticles, surfaces, or sterically hindered functional groups.

The terminal azide participates in copper(I)-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) with terminal alkynes and strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) with strained cyclooctynes such as DBCO and BCN.

The primary amine provides an independent reactive site for NHS esters, activated carboxylic acids, aldehydes, and other amine-reactive compounds. The combination of azide and amine functionalities enables orthogonal and sequential conjugation strategies.
