General Description
PDLLA-PEG-Mal is a tin-free biodegradable block copolymer designed for advanced drug delivery and nanomedicine applications. The amphiphilic copolymer self-assembles into polymeric micelles and nanoparticles with a hydrophobic PDLLA core capable of encapsulating hydrophobic therapeutics and a PEG shell that improves stability and circulation properties.
The maleimide functionality enables rapid and selective conjugation with thiol-containing peptides, proteins, antibodies, aptamers, and other targeting ligands under mild conditions. This property makes PDLLA-PEG-Mal particularly useful for preparing actively targeted nanoparticle systems and functional biomaterials.
