Description
General Description
mPEG-Amine (mPEG-NH2) is one of the most widely used PEGylation reagents for biomedical and pharmaceutical applications. The terminal primary amine group serves as a versatile reactive handle for coupling with proteins, peptides, antibodies, nucleic acids, fluorophores, nanoparticles, polymers, and biomaterial surfaces.
The hydrophilic PEG chain improves water solubility, biocompatibility, circulation time, and stability while reducing immunogenicity and nonspecific protein adsorption. The methoxy terminus prevents undesired crosslinking and provides a stable non-reactive end group.
mPEG-Amine is frequently employed in PEGylated therapeutics, polymer-drug conjugates, nanoparticle surface modification, hydrogel preparation, biomaterials engineering, and synthesis of functional PEG derivatives.
