Tetrazines
Tetrazines are highly reactive bioorthogonal reagents widely used in inverse electron-demand Diels–Alder (IEDDA) click chemistry. Tetrazine-functionalized molecules react rapidly and selectively with strained dienophiles, particularly trans-cyclooctene (TCO), enabling efficient conjugation under mild conditions without copper or other catalysts.
NSP provides tetrazine-functionalized PEGs, lipids, polymers, dyes, and bioconjugation reagents for bioorthogonal chemistry, drug delivery, nanoparticle functionalization, molecular imaging, biomolecule labeling, and biomaterials research.
Tetrazine-TCO ligation is particularly attractive for biological applications because of its rapid reaction kinetics, high selectivity, catalyst-free reaction conditions, and compatibility with aqueous and biological environments. Tetrazine reagents can be used to conjugate proteins, peptides, antibodies, nanoparticles, liposomes, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), fluorophores, and other functional molecules.
