Description
General Description
Acryl-PCL-PEG-Alkyne is a heterotelechelic biodegradable copolymer designed for advanced biomaterials engineering and bioorthogonal conjugation applications. The acrylate functionality readily participates in free-radical polymerization, photopolymerization, and hydrogel crosslinking reactions, enabling incorporation into polymer networks and injectable biomaterials.
The PCL segment provides a biodegradable hydrophobic domain capable of modulating mechanical properties and degradation behavior, while the PEG segment improves hydrophilicity, biocompatibility, and flexibility. The terminal alkyne group serves as a highly versatile bioorthogonal handle for copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) and related click chemistry reactions with azide-containing molecules.
Acryl-PCL-PEG-Alkyne is frequently employed in hydrogel fabrication, tissue engineering scaffolds, nanoparticle functionalization, drug delivery systems, and advanced biomedical materials.
