PDLLA-MPEG

Price range: $280.00 through $960.00

PDLLA-mPEG (mPEG-PDLLA) is an amphiphilic diblock copolymer composed of poly(D,L-lactide) (PDLLA) and methoxy polyethylene glycol (mPEG). The hydrophobic PDLLA block and hydrophilic PEG block enable self-assembly in aqueous environments, making PDLLA-mPEG useful for polymeric nanoparticles, micelles, drug encapsulation, controlled drug delivery, and biodegradable biomaterials research.

Description

General Description

PDLLA-mPEG, also referred to as mPEG-PDLLA, is a biodegradable amphiphilic block copolymer consisting of a hydrophilic methoxy polyethylene glycol (mPEG) block and a hydrophobic poly(D,L-lactide) (PDLLA) block.

PDLLA is an amorphous biodegradable polyester derived from D,L-lactide. In combination with hydrophilic PEG, the resulting block copolymer can exhibit amphiphilic behavior and self-assemble into micelles, nanoparticles, and other nanoscale structures under appropriate formulation conditions.

The hydrophobic PDLLA domain can associate with hydrophobic compounds, while the PEG segment forms a hydrophilic corona that can improve colloidal stability in aqueous environments.

NSP offers PDLLA-mPEG with different PDLLA and mPEG molecular weights to support formulation development, nanoparticle research, drug delivery, and biomaterials applications.
