Description
General Description
PCL-PEG-FITC is a multifunctional biodegradable copolymer designed for fluorescence imaging and drug delivery applications. The hydrophobic poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) segment enables the formation of polymeric micelles and nanoparticles capable of encapsulating hydrophobic therapeutics, while the polyethylene glycol (PEG) segment enhances water solubility, biocompatibility, colloidal stability, and circulation time.
The fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) moiety provides intense green fluorescence, allowing direct visualization of nanoparticles, polymer biodistribution, cellular internalization, and intracellular trafficking using fluorescence microscopy, confocal microscopy, and flow cytometry.
PCL-PEG-FITC is widely employed in targeted drug delivery, nanomedicine, tissue engineering, diagnostic imaging, and biomaterials development where simultaneous therapeutic delivery and fluorescence monitoring are required.
