Description
General Description
PLGA-Cy3 is a fluorescent biodegradable polyester prepared by covalently conjugating Cyanine 3 (Cy3) to poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA). The PLGA backbone retains the excellent biodegradability and biocompatibility of conventional PLGA, while the Cy3 fluorophore provides bright orange-red fluorescence with high quantum yield and excellent photostability.
PLGA-Cy3 can be formulated into nanoparticles, microspheres, implants, and injectable drug delivery systems while maintaining stable fluorescent labeling throughout fabrication and biological evaluation. The Cy3 fluorophore is well suited for fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and live-cell imaging, allowing sensitive visualization of nanoparticle biodistribution, cellular uptake, intracellular trafficking, and polymer degradation.
PLGA-Cy3 is extensively used in drug delivery research, nanomedicine, bioimaging, tissue engineering, and pharmaceutical development.
