Description
General Description
Biotin-dPEG-N3 is a heterobifunctional discrete PEG (dPEG) reagent containing a biotin group at one terminus and an azide group at the other. Unlike conventional polydisperse PEGs, the monodisperse dPEG spacer possesses a precisely defined molecular structure and molecular weight, providing superior reproducibility, analytical characterization, and conjugation efficiency.
The terminal azide group readily participates in copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) and strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with alkyne- and DBCO-functionalized molecules. The biotin group provides high-affinity binding to streptavidin, avidin, and neutravidin, making Biotin-dPEG-N3 an excellent linker for biomolecule conjugation, molecular assembly, diagnostic assay development, and targeted delivery applications.
