Description
General Description
DOPE-PEG-Maleimide, DOPE-PEG-MAL is an amphiphilic lipid-polymer conjugate composed of a hydrophobic DOPE lipid anchor, a hydrophilic PEG spacer, and a terminal maleimide functional group. The DOPE moiety readily incorporates into lipid bilayers, liposomes, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), and other lipid-based delivery systems, while the PEG chain provides steric stabilization and improved circulation properties.
The terminal maleimide group selectively reacts with thiol-containing peptides, proteins, antibodies, aptamers, and other biomolecules under mild conditions to form stable thioether bonds. DOPE-PEG-MAL is widely used for the preparation of targeted liposomes, functionalized lipid nanoparticles, diagnostic probes, and drug delivery systems.
