Description
General Description
DOPE-PEG-NH2 is an amphiphilic lipid-polymer conjugate composed of a hydrophobic DOPE lipid anchor, a hydrophilic PEG spacer, and a terminal primary amine group. The DOPE moiety readily incorporates into lipid bilayers, liposomes, micelles, and lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), while the PEG segment improves colloidal stability, reduces nonspecific interactions, and enhances circulation properties.
The terminal amine group provides a versatile reactive handle for conjugation with NHS esters, activated carboxylic acids, aldehydes, isocyanates, and other amine-reactive molecules. DOPE-PEG-NH2 is commonly used for the preparation of targeted liposomes, functionalized lipid nanoparticles, imaging probes, and drug delivery systems.
