HS-PEG-SH

Price range: $200.00 through $600.00

HS-PEG-SH is a homobifunctional polyethylene glycol derivative containing thiol groups at both termini. The terminal sulfhydryl functionalities enable highly efficient conjugation with maleimides, vinyl sulfones, acrylates, activated disulfides, gold surfaces, and other thiol-reactive molecules. HS-PEG-SH is widely used in hydrogel synthesis, nanoparticle functionalization, surface modification, bioconjugation, and biomaterials research.

Description

General Description

HS-PEG-SH is a versatile homobifunctional PEG linker designed for thiol-mediated conjugation and crosslinking applications. The two terminal thiol groups provide reactive sites for coupling with proteins, peptides, antibodies, nanoparticles, polymers, and biomaterial surfaces.

The hydrophilic PEG spacer improves water solubility, flexibility, biocompatibility, and reduces nonspecific protein adsorption. The terminal thiol groups readily participate in thiol-maleimide coupling, thiol-ene reactions, disulfide exchange reactions, and gold surface immobilization.

HS-PEG-SH is frequently employed in hydrogel fabrication, nanoparticle stabilization, biosensor preparation, self-assembled monolayers (SAMs), surface modification, drug delivery systems, and advanced biomaterials development.
