Polylactides (PLAs)

Nanosoft Polymers offers a comprehensive portfolio of polylactides (PLAs) with customizable molecular weights, stereochemistry, architectures, and terminal functional groups.

PLA is one of the most widely utilized biodegradable polymers due to its excellent biocompatibility, renewable origin, and tunable degradation profile. Derived from lactic acid, PLA degrades into naturally occurring metabolites and has been extensively investigated for pharmaceutical, biomedical, and industrial applications.

Our PLA portfolio includes poly(L-lactide) (PLLA), poly(D-lactide) (PDLA), poly(DL-lactide) (PDLLA), functionalized PLA derivatives, star-shaped PLAs, and advanced PLA macromonomers for drug delivery and biomaterials development.
