Description
General Description
Bis-dPEG29-Acid is a discrete polyethylene glycol (dPEG) linker with a precisely defined structure consisting of 29 ethylene glycol repeating units and carboxylic acid groups at both termini. Unlike conventional polydisperse PEGs, Bis-PEG29-Acid possesses a uniform molecular structure and molecular weight, providing superior reproducibility, analytical characterization, and conjugation performance.
The terminal carboxylic acid groups can be activated using EDC, DCC, DIC, NHS, or sulfo-NHS chemistry for conjugation to amine-containing peptides, proteins, antibodies, nanoparticles, surfaces, and other biomolecules. The hydrophilic PEG spacer improves water solubility, reduces steric hindrance, and enhances biocompatibility in a wide range of biomedical applications.
