Description

General Description

Cy7-NHS Ester is a premium amine-reactive fluorescent dye designed for covalent labeling of biomolecules with a bright near-infrared fluorophore. The Cyanine 7 (Cy7) dye exhibits excitation and emission maxima of approximately 750 nm and 775 nm, respectively, providing excellent tissue penetration, minimal biological autofluorescence, and a high signal-to-background ratio for biological imaging applications.

The activated NHS ester reacts rapidly with primary amines under mild aqueous conditions (typically pH 7.2–8.8), forming stable amide bonds with lysine residues on proteins, peptides, antibodies, enzymes, amino-modified oligonucleotides, polymers, nanoparticles, and other amine-containing biomolecules.

Because of its long-wavelength fluorescence, Cy7-NHS Ester is particularly well suited for in vivo optical imaging, fluorescence-guided surgery, biodistribution studies, targeted drug delivery, nanoparticle tracking, multiplex fluorescence assays, and molecular diagnostics.
