DSPE-Rhodamine B (DSPE-RhB)

Price range: $160.00 through $650.00

DSPE-Rhodamine B (DSPE-RhB) is a fluorescent phospholipid derivative containing a DSPE lipid anchor and a Rhodamine B (RhB) fluorophore. The DSPE moiety provides stable incorporation into liposomes, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), and lipid membranes, while Rhodamine B provides strong red fluorescence for imaging and detection. DSPE-Rhodamine B is widely used in fluorescent liposome labeling, nanoparticle tracking, cellular uptake studies, molecular imaging, and drug delivery research.

Description

General Description

DSPE-Rhodamine B (DSPE-RhB) is a fluorescent lipid probe designed for visualization and tracking of lipid-based nanoparticles and membrane systems. The DSPE lipid anchor consists of two saturated stearoyl (C18:0) hydrocarbon chains that enable stable incorporation into lipid bilayers, liposomes, and lipid nanoparticles.

The Rhodamine B fluorophore provides bright red fluorescence with excitation at approximately 540–560 nm and emission at approximately 570–590 nm, making it suitable for fluorescence microscopy, confocal imaging, flow cytometry, and fluorescence spectroscopy applications.

DSPE-Rhodamine B enables stable fluorescent labeling of liposomes and lipid nanoparticles for investigating cellular uptake, biodistribution, membrane interaction, and delivery mechanisms. It is widely used in targeted drug delivery research, molecular imaging, biosensors, and advanced nanomedicine applications.
