Description
General Description
DSPE-Rhodamine B (DSPE-RhB) is a fluorescent lipid probe designed for visualization and tracking of lipid-based nanoparticles and membrane systems. The DSPE lipid anchor consists of two saturated stearoyl (C18:0) hydrocarbon chains that enable stable incorporation into lipid bilayers, liposomes, and lipid nanoparticles.
The Rhodamine B fluorophore provides bright red fluorescence with excitation at approximately 540β560 nm and emission at approximately 570β590 nm, making it suitable for fluorescence microscopy, confocal imaging, flow cytometry, and fluorescence spectroscopy applications.
DSPE-Rhodamine B enables stable fluorescent labeling of liposomes and lipid nanoparticles for investigating cellular uptake, biodistribution, membrane interaction, and delivery mechanisms. It is widely used in targeted drug delivery research, molecular imaging, biosensors, and advanced nanomedicine applications.
