General Description
DSPE-PEG-Cy3 is a fluorescent phospholipid derivative designed for the preparation and visualization of lipid-based delivery systems. The hydrophobic DSPE segment efficiently incorporates into lipid bilayers, liposomes, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), micelles, and other nanocarriers, while the hydrophilic PEG spacer extends into the aqueous environment to improve colloidal stability and reduce steric hindrance.
The Cy3 fluorophore provides strong fluorescence, high sensitivity, and excellent photostability, allowing visualization and quantitative analysis of nanoparticle uptake, intracellular trafficking, biodistribution, and targeting efficiency. DSPE-PEG-Cy3 is frequently used in fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, in vitro imaging, in vivo imaging, and drug delivery studies.
