General Description
DSPE-PEG-RhB is a fluorescent phospholipid derivative designed for the preparation and visualization of lipid-based delivery systems. The hydrophobic DSPE segment efficiently incorporates into lipid bilayers, liposomes, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), micelles, and other nanocarriers, while the hydrophilic PEG spacer extends into the aqueous environment to improve colloidal stability and reduce steric hindrance.
The Rhodamine B fluorophore provides strong red fluorescence, excellent photostability, and high detection sensitivity, enabling visualization and quantitative analysis of nanoparticle uptake, intracellular trafficking, biodistribution, and targeting efficiency. DSPE-PEG-RhB is frequently used in fluorescence microscopy, confocal imaging, flow cytometry, in vitro imaging, in vivo imaging, and drug delivery studies.
