General Description
RhB-PEG-SH is a multifunctional fluorescent PEG linker designed for imaging and bioconjugation applications. The Rhodamine B fluorophore provides strong red fluorescence, allowing sensitive detection by fluorescence microscopy, confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, fluorescence spectroscopy, and in vivo imaging techniques.
The hydrophilic PEG spacer improves water solubility, minimizes nonspecific protein adsorption, and enhances the flexibility and accessibility of the fluorescent label. The terminal thiol group readily reacts with maleimides, vinyl sulfones, acrylates, activated disulfides, and gold surfaces to form stable covalent linkages or self-assembled monolayers.
RhB-PEG-SH is widely employed for fluorescent labeling of proteins, peptides, nanoparticles, liposomes, hydrogels, biosensors, and biomedical devices, as well as for molecular imaging and targeted drug delivery research.
