Description
General Description
PLGA-Rhodamine B is a fluorescent biodegradable polyester prepared by covalently conjugating Rhodamine B to PLGA. The PLGA backbone retains the excellent biodegradability and biocompatibility of conventional PLGA, while the Rhodamine B fluorophore provides strong red fluorescence for sensitive optical detection.
PLGA-RhB can be formulated into nanoparticles, microspheres, implants, and injectable delivery systems while maintaining fluorescent labeling throughout fabrication. It is commonly used to investigate nanoparticle biodistribution, intracellular trafficking, drug release behavior, tissue penetration, and polymer degradation.
