Stearic Acid-PEG-FITC (SA-PEG-FITC)

Price range: $360.00 through $385.00

Stearic Acid-PEG-FITC (SA-PEG-FITC) is a fluorescent lipid-polyethylene glycol (PEG) conjugate consisting of a stearic acid lipid anchor, a hydrophilic PEG spacer, and fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC). The stearic acid moiety enables stable incorporation into liposomes, micelles, and lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), while the FITC fluorophore provides bright green fluorescence for cellular imaging, nanoparticle tracking, biodistribution studies, and biomaterials research.

Description

General Description

Stearic Acid-PEG-FITC (SA-PEG-FITC) is a multifunctional lipid-PEG conjugate composed of stearic acid (C18:0), a polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer, and a terminal fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) fluorophore. The hydrophobic stearic acid anchor readily inserts into lipid bilayers, liposomes, micelles, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), and other lipid-based nanocarriers, while the PEG spacer improves aqueous solubility, colloidal stability, prolonged circulation, and biocompatibility.

FITC is one of the most widely used green fluorescent dyes for fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry. The strong green fluorescence of SA-PEG-FITC enables sensitive visualization of lipid-based nanocarriers, cellular uptake, intracellular trafficking, biodistribution, and surface modification.

Stearic Acid-PEG-FITC is widely used for fluorescent labeling of liposomes, lipid nanoparticles, polymeric micelles, extracellular vesicles, and other nanomaterials in drug delivery, diagnostics, molecular imaging, and biomaterials research.
